"NOTICE is hereby given that a special general meeting of the members of Pacific United Football Club (“PUFC”) is hereby called for 6:30p.m. on , June 7th, 2016, to be held at the Strawberry Hill public library Room."

While there very little details (surprisingly) it could be to just re-instate their society and install thier board.

I dont see any details on their website of BC Soccer application or about fall soccer program. nothing on thier Tweets either.but they tweet does mention in slideshow ironically "A Tiger Doesn't Loose Sleep over a Sheeps Opinion" .

BCTIGERSFC is then fall club. They have a website, registered by Amar Bains, but it is not live yet. My uderstanding is that they were approved on the girls side 1st, and were supposed to get approval on the boys side last week. This is much the same process as it was for PUFC last year when they were in the process of becoming a club.

On a side note, how can PUFC charge $600 for registration and still get players? That price is crazy.

4 the kids described it well. That is what happened when change the name didnt get enough votes in SGM and the BC Tiger group still went on to change the name and change the directors which was never mentioned anywhere in the announcement of SGM and BC tigers sent their list to BC registry. Thats where all the mess started. Now BC tigers got there own club let us see what they will bring new to community.

My son play for PUFC and trust me $600 is worth spending when they provide the best equipment and most importantly best traing and coaching in surrey. Check their Facebook page, their youg players are getting selected to England and Dutch clubs.

Thats great and everything, but they couldn't have possibly developed anyone enough in their short existance to be able to take full credit for it.

That should be shared with the previous club where ever that may be.

And even at that I disagree that $600 is worth it for anyone playing club soccer below metro calibre. But thats just my opinion.

Shawn. Have you heard anything regarding pufc coming back for fall? Im sure with bc tigers and vancouver united getting their own clubs that pufc membership took a huge hit. Well SFC as well, but pufc especially. Its going to be tough this year for them I think.

I love this line: "It's been an absolute pleasure to watch these boys grow and come through our development program." - yeah all one year of it... still nice to see local kids getting a look if nothing else. If Iceland can beat England then Surrey should be able to produce a national team on its own...

Huge congratulations to Jayden Gosal (left) Jeevan Badwal (center) and Hugo Thompson (right) on being selected at Delta Wolverhampton camp and got invited to the Wolverhampton Academy Camp in Arizona in July 2016. It's been an absolute pleasure to watch these boys grow and come through our development program. This is where most of Soccer clubs make mistake when they hire voluteers or a parent coach who do not have any knowledge of soccer teachings for any level. When these volunteers are unable to teach good soccer right from grassroots then those players struggle rest of their carrier. Actually I did ask two of the directors of BC Tigers if they have any technical program for each level of player specially grassroots. The answer I got, they just stared at me first then one of them said in Surrey you dont need program all you need is low fee and clubs need numbers that way both sides are happy. I was shocked, that proves they are not there for Soccer or most importantly for KIDS, Its all about how many players they can register to gather more money. When they hire voluteer coaches clubs save lot of money because technical program is the biggest expence in their budget, thats what I found out from all these Surrey clubs.

Can you expand on what technical program PUFC is offering that say Surrey FC and CCB are not? Derrick Bassi vs Paul Bahai vs Peter Malakoane ?

First. I have nothing against pufc. But to be devils advocate here, If you are a volunteer coach and you took the bcsoccer course for the age and level of play you are involved in then you will get part of that fee that pufc collects. I am a volunteer coach, but I can tell you right now that there are paid coaches at pufc with less experience than I have. Does that make them better? And can pufc continue in the same manner with the huge loss of members and financial support.

Not to diminish the fact these kids are going to a camp sponsored by Wolves because it will be very fun and exciting for them - but these tend to be money makers. Unless at one of these camps the clubs finds a truly exceptional player it's just a camp like any other.

Wolves North American Academy - 1v1 Soccer FC - very vague descriptors. But, if you look at the Wolves academy in England, almost the entire academy are British players - one from Slovakia. The rest are touted as local boys. So read into that what you will about their North American academy.

Re: technical development programs in Surrey - the only ones I am aware of are SU and Guildford. Coastal of course is in Delta (until 2017) so you can't really lump it in with Surrey! Not yet anyway! But, I hear Coastal has a nice program too. I have never really heard of a technical program at SFC, or CCB and never looked into PUFC. So if you guys have program details please share!

If you are relying on looking at the end of season standings to see if you have a good coach I would suggest you have it all wrong.

One weekend certainly doesn't make a coach. This coming from a coach who has done quite a few of those courses The system needs to be torn down and rebuilt, and it needs to include long-term mentoring, and coaches who have to implement their learning over a period of time before they are certified.

But, I highlight your last sentence - standings are the last thing we should be looking at for development records/proof.

Im not going to quote because I dont want my point lost.

1 weekend does not make you a better coach. This was the entire point of my argument. People at PUFC with that 1 weekend are getting paid from a $600 reg fee. People who are no better than myself with over 6 years on the field with teams from micro to u17.

And clubs with the worst coaches can have stellar records with exceptional players.

Any parent or player who is happy where they are and have strong club pride is in the right place.
