I hate snow as well , but at least its not so cold here . Back in England during snow fall , it was way colder with strong chilly winds blowing in from the North Sea :):cool:

Here,s my little volunteer contribution during the Christmas /New Year holidays for Dist 5 and i hope & pray all teams are placed at their appropriate level especially the U18,s as its their last season of youth soccer. There is no bias , all U18 groups are based on my knowledge of most of the teams & personally being involved in & watching games in this age group this season & past few years.
Teams highlighted in blue are the ones who were too strong for their Division upto Dec 18.

5 District schedules are posted now, as are Delta District for U11-U13 house.

Jan 7 start date. Div 1 and 2 teams playing Coastal Cup District Playdowns will have conflicts.

Hopefully we get decent enough weather to play the games. Im looking forward to getting back at it.

Those games on the 7th may be tough, as it's supposed to snow again at the end of the week....

I guess that's why they build in 3 makeup weekends.

Thanks Rich and the groups are now very balanced and there,s only 3 teams i had placed differently in my proposed U18 groups.
So happy for all the players :)

Have you seen the weather forecast for the next 2 weeks? Temperatures below zero delay and several more snow days forecasted. May be a while before we even get a practice in! Time to find some gym space.

5-District is NOT cancelling games this weekend - those without a playable field will just have to be made up

South Delta is hosting all District Playdown matches, and as many regularly scheduled League Championship games as we can squeeze onto turf. South District (Girls) have cancelled their league games, but district cup matches will be played.

Now watch it snow 6 inches tonight... :confused:

League Championship finals
District 5 will be cancelling the league championship series on March 4/5 in order to allow more games within the groups to be played. Games can be made up on this weekend. The home club would host the game. Medals will be handed out to the top two teams in each group once all scores have been compiled.
