If a player has just registered in the past 2 days (his id card is obviously not made yet) , and his first game is this weekend, can the player still play in the game? and can he use his registration receipt as proof instead of his id card?

You can get a letter from your club registrar for a single game. It shouldnt take more than a couple of days to get an id card.

Due to so many clubs based at NAP alot of teams have been split up & some barely have enough players .These teams are signing up players even now & quite a few teams could be missing ID cards for some players and opposing coach,s could protest .

As a ref i remember seeing letter signed by district registrar , with stamp on it to confirm it is valid.

I've seen it done by the Club registrar. Keep in mind, it's at the discretion of the ref on game day.

ya, try to get in touch with the district board and have in an email that they approve the player playing.

I've never heard of a ref stopping a player from playing if no ID card but every time this has happened the ref has made it clear they are going to let the opposition coach know and regardless of the result they may choose to protest the game.

Thanks easoccer, LauraH, socceroo & TKBC. Your guys suggestions were really helpful, the ref allowed both players to play.
