BCSPL / Island Wave

Hello, was hoping to get perspectives on the BCSPL from any parents that have gone through with it and have direct experience. Mostly interested in island Wave if anyone has insights. I have a 11yr old boy that's been invited to assessments. I am attending an info session tonite but that will not give me the perspective others may have experienced so hoping to glean some advice/insights/general notes of interest.

The Island's U17 BCSPL team just folded. Not sure if this is a warning bell for the franchise as a whole or not. Might want to look into that.

If memory serves Wave have not been fielding teams over u16 for some time now as they enter their u17-18 into an Island u21 league?
