5 District Schedules for 2016-2017?

I'm curious as to which team you think should move up and why. There is a lot of turnover at the u18 age group so how can you possible tell? I can only assume you are basing that on last season.

There are definately teams in divisions they may not belong. There is no div 3 so a couple of those are in div 4. About the other issue regarding div 1. No idea.

What makes you believe there are 4-5 teams in d2 that should be in d1? Winning by 1 goal margins in d2 doesn't exactly scream "division 1!!!".

Question, why is it called Div 4 and not Div 3?

They merged the group down. Majority of teams were Div 4.

There were only 2-3 teams in U18 Div 3, so they merged Div 3 and 4.

Same with U17 - not enough teams in U17 Div 2, so they moved them to Div 3.

4 Dist have around the same amount of teams in U18 & have made a good job with balanced Divs.
U18 GOLD - 10 teams
U18 SILVER- 6 teams
U18 BRONZE 1 - 10 teams
U18 BRONZE 2 - 8 teams

U18 DIV 4 - 8 teams

The 2 Coastal u18 div 4 teams are u17/18 mixes this year as well.

Its tough to say as there are so many player changes at this age.

The CMF Div 2 team only had 9 returning players, 1 dropped from Div 1, 2 from out of club and 7 came from either div 3 or div 4 so no matter how long anyone has coached in this age group it would be difficult to evaluate where a team should be with that level of turn over. As they say in investments, past results do not guarantee future performance.

I ask again, based on what? Last seasons results only? There is nothing from this season that could determine where a team should be other than the judgement of the club and coaches.

16 teams in Div 4 - there,s def some teams in that Div who should be playing higher .

PMO and LGL have played two, won two. But their opponents are all in the bottom half, zero wins after 2 games. Don't jump to conclusions.

when talking about teams playing div 3 or 4, or even at the bottom of div 2 does it really matter what league they are in? Those kids are almost all playing totally for fun - with few exceptions.

This is kind of arbitrary. Im all for balance but group size should be based on teams ability.

This forum is a great platform for everyone to share their views/ideas and i hope the 5 Dist members , Dist Chair & schedulers read these posts. Most of us coach,s are on the fields involved in the thick of it every other day and hopefully these organizers take note and implement some changes to the Divisions based on the teams appropriate levels of play .

SFC Eagles running up scores in Div 4 - this team should be in Div 2
CCB Cobras - should be in Div 3
SU TERMINATORS- should be in Div 3

To be fair, last year the SFC Eagles didn't win more than one game. They must have found some good, new players.
