Ugh! The BCCSL needs to add a rule similar to this, excerpted from BCCGSL Operating Guide:

3.4 Travel
Home teams MUST take into account the travel distance of the Away team, especially for teams travelling to or from Chilliwack, Whistler, Squamish, Pemberton and Sechelt.
Such...
Regarding Girls BCCGSL travel -- this past weekend Squamish came to play our Div 1B team in Burnaby and this Sunday we visit Chilliwack - 1 hour drives (one way). Squamish gets to visit Chilliwack team in 2 weeks! e_e.
Even further yet, both my girls have played in Whistler - 2 hrs each way...
As this is the 1st look everyone is having of the schedule, it's not surprising there are outright mistakes (wrong division, age group, teams folding, whatever -- not to mention the missing contact info, and outlandish venues (placeholders), etc...
The BCCGSL (girls) league scheduler had to...
Heh, I was also wondering wgat PDS stood for. Maybe we need a glossary discussion group or a FAQ section, as I've seen TLA's (that's Three Letter Acronyms) used by posters here that I'd never encountered before. Kinda like trying to figure out what my kids are texting each other...
Good to hear. The Wesburn parent/coach whose daughter & mine are BGSC teammates was at his son's practice last evening so I wasn't able to chat with him. So perhaps info about BCCSL was passed only word of mouth amongst Wesburn members, since there is nothing on the club's website...
I'll mention that a quick scan of the Burnaby District clubs (excluding Burnaby Girls SC (my kids' club) as they are not affected): Of the other 4 clubs: Wesburn, Royal City (RCYSC), Cliff Avenue United (CAU), and South Burnaby Metro Club (SBMC) -- only SBMC mentions BCCSL on the home page, and...
The underlying system for Metro League scheduling looks familiar as TechSys is the base upon which North Shore Girls SC (NSGSC) and Burnaby Girls SC (BGSC) club websites are built on. BGSC uses it's registration subsystem, but doesn't use the team pages & associated functions (unfortunately)...
A smaller subset of BCCSL is BCCGSL which has covered the 8 districts for quite a while. Schedule was published Sep 1st as promised, but with a warning of changes possible. Teams have folded sometimes after the start of the season, especially Div 3 (There are only Div 1, 2 and 3 with subgroups...
Oops, my bad, there's an extra period between district and soccer in the original posted URL, here is the correct one: http://www.4districtsoccer.com
BTW, a Google search would also bring up the correct URL :)
Yes, at least one person from every team will have to get the GotSoccer app (or...
The website for BCCSL - BC Coastal Soccer League is being updated, but not quite complete, and the URL is still 4district.soccer.com for the time being.

Welcome to the new BC Coastal Soccer League comprised of the Alouette, Burnaby, Fraser Valley, North Shore...
The "Operating Guides" for 4DSL and 5DSL say boys generally play Saturdays but older teams (U17/18) may play their home games on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
Here is the section from 2017-2018 BCCGSL Operating Guide:

League games have traditionally been scheduled...
My experience over the past 7 years -- girls always played Sundays and boys on Saturdays. Exceptions - some valley clubs (Abbotsford/Chilliwack?) had girls on Saturdays instead of Sunday. I presume boys played either Saturday/Sunday with fewer girls teams needing field time in the outlying...
Saw the tweet (below) this weekend, and as my daughter will do Beach Soccer Blast at Spanish Banks starting Friday, I poked around the web...
Anyone hear if the BC Day long weekend - Kamloops Invitational Soccer Tournament (KIST Aug 4-7) - had any cancellations due to poor air quality?
The...
The 5dsl.ca website shows it's now 3 District, updated from 2 District. Not big on explaining change anywhere though, and I guess they don't look at bcsoccercentral (here) :-)
"The 3 District Soccer League starts in September and includes South Fraser, Fraser Valley and Alouette for U10 and...
Well, the poster did say it was a "shameful plug" (thought the expression was "shameless plug" but I see both :-)) That being said, it does appear to be raising funds for a cause and older youth players/teams might be find it of interest...
Speaking of bcsoccercentral's demographic being...
The OP hasn't replied, but looking at pictures from their website KickOff Canada Home and eVite page (OP) you see mainly men playing (maybe older youth players included) and the "Team Structure" (excerpted below) says any number of males & females adding up to 7 on the pitch. It does not...
That's last season's Metro teams/contacts/schedule info, and you are seeing MSL Divisions 1 & 2's, there are A and B divs in some age groups -- so they aren't actually 4DL or 5DL Div 1/2 groups...
Actually @easoccer, your teams may still play TCYSA teams -- if indeed 4DL and 5DL are merging for this coming season (see earlier in this topic, also a separate discussion thread on 4DL-5DL merger). I and at least one other member of this forum have asked contacts within their club (or league)...
