I'd wager that at least half of my club's members have never been to the (former) 4D website in their lives. While you're right that those curious enough to ferret out information probably know the score by now, I'm sure the various club admins are absolutely delighted to be answering the same...
My club's admin advised me today that it's only Bronze (Div 3?) that's going to be geographically tied, if you will. So, there may well be sufficient degree of travel for just about everyone.
I get it that we're being fatalistic....but we come by it honestly. This year, our club just now has push mailed everyone that the season will start on the 16th due to scheduling issues with the merger of 4D and 5D, and the formation of BCCSL on the boys side. To the best of my knowledge, this...
Agreed 1,000 percent. From my experience over the past 10 years, I can confirm that timely communication is a not a strong suit within the BC soccer landscape. There are going to be a LOT of people scratching their heads and scrambling this fall.
Sigh... 4D schedule was delayed last season, and standings (u13+) never did get posted. I understand that the fellow who had been doing the scheduling for eons had passed away, but surely it wasn't all in one person's hands, was it? If so, why?
What is it with this region, and the inability to...
BTW, I suppose everyone in 4D has seen that the district has now posted schedules for rest of the season - along with explanation for the delay in maintaining scores/standings/scheduling.
Only wish that something had been posted earlier. Doesn't take that much time fore someone to craft a...
Very much the same for our side re: box play. Also would like to see our side look to switch play more often - so many opportunities to create 1v1 opportunities in open space, but no, the preferred route was to try to play through a crowd on the opposite wing. :-(
Who knows? We might have played easoccer's side.
Got knocked out in first round of cup play after a 1-0 loss Sat evening downtown. Controlled most of the play for first 15 minutes, and for the most part outplayed our opponents. We failed to convert our opportunities, especially after our...
My objection doesn't lie in any way with their choice to attend an academy. My own son attended an academy for several years, and we were very satisfied with the training he received there. There's absolutely no question in my mind that academies fill a much-needed niche, and that many of them...
Yes, they've played five matches into the season. Not exactly sure what the club policy is re refunds.
Regardless, this isn't about transfer windows, insurance, or club fees -- it's about the huge sense of betrayal that those families left in the wake have to deal with, and the utter lack of...
AFAIK they've left club soccer, so no league play. Interestingly enough, earlier today the school in question announced via Twitter that it "is very pleased to announce that we have been granted Associate Membership Status with BC Soccer." If I recall the case involving TSS correctly, part of...
I take your point, but in this case I don't think it would have mattered. Issues date back quite a ways. At a parent meeting in pre-season (ca. late August) verbal "commitment" for the season came from everyone.
