Important to note that only the home and away teams listed are fact. Fields and times are not...more like place holder info.
For instance, our U17 Div 1 team is scheduled to play Sunday away to Kerrisdale...on a Maple Ridge field.
Find out who you're playing, and touch base with them re...
Sorry, to be clearer, we got a list from the league that the clubs were to use to confirm that our teams were correctly entered into the correct divisions. From that list, they were going to start building schedules.
Hopefully sooner rather than later. Personally, I don't expect games to...
Truth of it is, none of us here would want to be the ones who are responsible for putting a league wide schedule together.
It has to be done at a certain time, but that is also the time that clubs are adding or removing teams based on player registrations...so...nope. Not a job I would want...
This, exactly!
I know it was middle of last week that we got final confirmation of the divisions our teams are in, so I am going to assume they would be building schedules now....hopefully more than a week's notice for first game!
In Delta District anyway, the clubs were given discretion on what day their U18 boys played, with the proviso that they pick a day and stick with it. I know for us in South Delta, we had the U18 home games on Sundays, as we had more available field space (more boys teams than girls), especially...
Not exactly - you play 3 or 4 weeks of league games, then everyone plays their first round cup game. A couple more weeks, then next round. Once it gets to a certain point, then those teams out just play their league games, while the teams still in cup competition play those matches. At...
For Boys Coastal B Cup, there will be 12 lower mainland spots....8 district winners, and 4 wild cards. Wild cards will be based on standings from Gold 1 only.
Gold 2 and Silver can enter District Playdowns, as in previous years.
At least, that's how I understand it. Everything seems to be...
Lots of talk, but lots of actions.
From the 4-District website:
"Welcome to the new BC Coastal Soccer League comprised of the Alouette, Burnaby, Fraser Valley, North Shore, Richmond, South Fraser, Tri-Cities and Vancouver Youth Soccer Associations.
If you are not already aware, the Lower...
4 and 5 District Leagues are merging, at U13+. From what I understand, Div 1 will not have geographic boundaries, but Div 2 and lower will be tiered geographically. I believe that 4 District league structure will be followed. There seems to be a ton of moving parts still.
Girls and possibly...
I understand that there are discussions around the possibility of 5-District and 4-District merging into one league. Possibly with BCCGSL as well.
Bowen Island to Chilliwack! :D Real away games!
