    BC Coastal Soccer League

I just saw this on the North Van website. It explains how most clubsprobably feel about the new merger in a short time frame. http://nvfc.ca/upload/doc/BCCSL_Sept_15_Message.pdf

    BC Coastal Soccer League

North Van FC has it posted on it's website. Also An email went out today to managers and coaches of U13-U18 teams metioning that the schedule is taking longer than planned due to growing pains with the new merger. In house schedules are also being made for games to be played this weekend and...

    Private Academy Integration

I too think the rules should change. Open up and see what happens. Let the best rise to the top. Let the chips fall where they may. The argument from those involved in BC Soccer is always that academies are just in it for the money. Of course they need to make money to paid for coaches etc...

    4DL & 5DL Merging?

Gold 2 is lower than Gold 1. It is higher that Silver 1. It does seem a bit redundant under the new format if it will indeed exist.

    BCSPL v Metro Soccer v DIV 1

I know the Whitecaps selected 9 from the Mountain U14's alone in July.

Are metro coaches allowed to bring players from HPL?

The district registrars have an ID card for everyone registered. They would have a record/data on all so a Silver to Gold, Gold to Metro etc. Is no problem. I think 'out of district' players can only move if they did not register in thier district first I think.

Are metro coaches allowed to bring players from HPL?

BCSPL is considered a higher level of play than Metro so the same rule applies for the U15 player. They would not be able to 'permit down'. It would be hard for a BCSPL registered player to get away with playing a Metro game if ID cards are checked by referees before games. Which is standard...

    5 District Schedules for 2016-2017?

I know MSL wanted to have a maximum of 12 teams I believe. A few clubs were originally denied by MSL but appealled directly to BC Soccer and got in from what I heard through the grapevine. The bottom teams after the U13 season as I understand it will not be included in U14 MSL for next season...

    October 28th - October 30th Weekend Recaps

Player ID's have all been made for district 4. Not sure I'd feel comfortable if the othe team showed up without them 7 weeks into the season as well. Referees are generally instructed not to allow the game to proceed. I think this is a world wide Fifa rule if I'm not mistsken. I'm here to be...

    October 14th - October 16th Weekend Recaps

I watched my son's U13 Metro team (North Van) tie Richmond 1-1. Lots of rain and strong winds. Lots of parents umbrellas being blown backwards. My son scored a nice header. Unfortunately on his on goal. He said later that the wind pushed the ball away from him. Tough luck. It was nasty but both...

    Metro Select Schedule for 2016-2017?

I heard that the U15 Richmond metro team did not have all their ID cards for their sole win. Makes one wonder if the metro fees were actually paid by those that left if that's the case. Much easier to leave if you had not paid your $750+ fee.

    Best Academy?

I enrolled my son in the Faly Academy at the end of U11 when he played Silver. I put him in the semi-private class. I was skeptacle as it was in a gym. The wall was divided in the gym with 6 kids on each side training with a coach. My son was in the 2nd tier group with some boys the same age and...
