hi guys,

sorry to do a shameful plug here but i am organizing a world cup themed charity event that raises awareness and money for mental health awareness and suicide prevention organizations.

early bird pricing is now available and i'd love to count on your support.

I looked and couldn't find anywhere... what age groups can teams enter into? Boys and girls?

Too bad about the date as I believe that is the same weekend as the Beach Blast.

The OP hasn't replied, but looking at pictures from their website KickOff Canada Home and eVite page (OP) you see mainly men playing (maybe older youth players included) and the "Team Structure" (excerpted below) says any number of males & females adding up to 7 on the pitch. It does not divisions by age or gender...

Team Structure
• There will be a maximum of 7 players per team on the field at any one time. There are no requirements for gender balance. You can have as many males and females on the pitch at all times.
1. Each team may field six outfield players and a goalkeeper on the pitch at any one time
2. Each team can use a maximum of 14 players per game.

Yeah, I kinda figured which makes this thread really an advertisement for an adult tournament on a youth site and of no value to the community here.

Well, the poster did say it was a "shameful plug" (thought the expression was "shameless plug" but I see both :)) That being said, it does appear to be raising funds for a cause and older youth players/teams might be find it of interest...

Speaking of bcsoccercentral's demographic being primarily Youth Soccer players, families & interested parties, could I suggest adding "Youth" somewhere to the home page? Visitors should see it after perusing the forums & articles but something explicit would help newbies :)

Cheers, Al.

Good suggestion!

Within the next month I need to change up the home page anyways - the articles series was good to start but then dried up when some parties went "silent".

This is a site for the community though to shape so I'm always open for suggestions / help!

Suggestions forum: Site Support & Suggestions

Cheers!

A few that agreed stopped responding to all communications.

Then I got busy and didn't have the energy to follow up with each and tell them what I thought of their communication skills :)
