CCB just put up registration forms, Spring/Summer Question.

that is the point , in previous years it was the same thing, payable to CCB but that isn't the uniform or club come summer, first BC Tigers, then Canadian Eagles..

I agree with you. Not sure how CCB can be collecting fees for a summer program that isn't sanctioned. Not sure how unsanctioned teams/leagues are getting field rentals but I guess that's a different discussion. I ask this because of course the league TSS tried starting-up with CCB and Burnaby got shut down real quick....

The form says "payable to Central City Football Club" etc etc - I would assume then that come spring my kid is playing for a team that is run by and wears the Central City flag.....if that's not the case this should be stated on the form.
Despite the politics one of the issues with CCB has been the full year registration , what club to you play for come spring, what league etc.. A few years back I registered for a full year and find myself playing for an non sanctioned Indo club come spring, nowhere on the registration form does it say that, my assumption was playing year round for CCB. So after this was one of the issues brought up they have come up with the same year long registration and provide no info as to what club, league etc the spring is with. Sorry but its like the haven't learned a thing...How hard is it to provide some info, the lack of info just smells . look at the the form nowhere does it says anything.....

Generally the Surrey Indo clubs have always participated in the USSL during the summer so if its full year then it would include USSL . The full year registration was started by BC Tigers and CCB together and it was for fall & ussl summer play .

I heard yesterday that CCB is looking to participate in the same spring league as GAC , SU and Langley United. . Also heard there is push to get this league sanctioned.

This would be excellent for the Lower Mainland. They'd have an opportunity surely to create a few different divisions of equal ability or tier 1-tier 2 sort of set-ups. If these 4 created a league over spring/summer I am sure others would join - Fraser Valley, Alouette.

They were supposed to have been invloved more in that league last year (8v8 play only). They did not end up sending the teams they promised and the late entered teams were denied. My u17 team was one of them.

Hopefully it works out better this year.

BTW, I'm pretty sure by the info on North Delta's website, that they also play in that league.

4 1/2 years ago Guildford was also registering kids for USSL (pacific eagles) right out of the clubhouse. They did have a separate form though.

Whats the name of this new leage and any other info on it - start dates , age groups , field locations etc ?

Just received this in an email from CCB.

CCB will be participating in a spring program that is sanctioned by BC Soccer and we want to ensure all parents and coaches know the benefits of this.

Mark my words ... nothing will change. regardless of what is being said / promised.. it will be same as any other year. Come end of May and you all will see how right I am...

I can say it so confidently, because I've been next to all these guys ... and seen it all.

You are probably right. There are participating with some other fall clubs this spring but they will also be in the ussa. Half truths.

I hope for everyone's sake you are wrong, I however have my doubts as well .. What CCB needs to do is stop collecting full year registrations . Create defined programs for each season and collect for each separately like every other club does...
It really doesn't matter for what club or league just be transparent about it, the full year registration is not transparent in any way...
For the record the group at Guildford when they collected registrations for summer clubs was pushed out and are now in Newton..

I hope CCB all the success in the world but they need to stop making statements like this:

CCB Soccer is on track to have the most successful Spring/Summer, and Fall Soccer Seasons.

Not sure how they are defining success.

Don't be too harsh. It's surely being written by an eager volunteer.

knowing the CCB group I would say the statement is very purposed ...Newton is a hostile environment , unfounded claims of self promotion are used to help keep support...

Success for their pals. Not so much for the rest.

Not much to benchmark against as this is their first attempt outside of the ussl.
