have the accusations/findings been produced anywhere?

I couldn't find anything on the website... then again BC Soccer does not have any of these details for any other suspensions. It would be nice to have these details available. This way we all now what the kerfuffle was all about.

You can almost guarantee there will be more names with ProTouch still under review.

Yikes! and some of us thought it was little admin stuff. Based on length of suspension it appears certain individuals have been dealt with specifically for wrong doing.

can you please share link where the above info is posted? I did not see anything on Surrey Metro website.

So what happens next? IF PUFC cannot operate for two years teams are currently being run by the district , what happens to those teams?
Also as a side note there is one name I am surprised is missing from the suspensions... then again he wasn't on the boards...

There was another name listed but it didn't mention PUFC specifically so I didn't post it. Also, there is still the academy that is under review so it may still come.

As for the teams, most likely SMSA for the rest of the year and then those players can register elsewhere in the following year I guess.

Here's what I think that going to happen ... PUFC season probably finish of the season under the district. Come beginning of 2017, these suspended individuals will start closed door conversation with other Newton based clubs (given their track record, it won't be BC Tigers). There will hand shake agreements to move the teams for the summer seasons. The special discounted fees will include the cost to keep the current coaches (none of whom are under suspension). The teams will continue with same club under their winter name. This will allow them to show higher # registered players so they can gobble up more prime space at Newton Athletic and so on and so no ... nothing will change; including the fact none of these guys will ever talk about what's best for the kids.

It's all about #s !!!

Atleast that's what I think given my experience with surrey based soccer over the last 8 years...

I would say my experience mirrors yours, only exception I wouldn't say surrey based soccer I would say newton based soccer, particularly clubs affiliated with summer clubs.

agreed... I guess I could have been bit more specific. That being said, I'm seeing more and more of the non-newton based teams coming to play for these clubs in the summer. And before the summer season is over there's always a push to try to keep the team for the winter as well. Because ... #s!!

Yes summer soccer seems to be the common link.... its to bad the idea of the summer league and tournaments is fantastic but unfortunately full of corruption, greed and politics behind the scenes and is now playing out with the winter clubs who help promote the summer clubs...

All I can say is that people get involved in organizations for a variety of reasons. It is my hope that they are truly in it for sincere reasons and not to promote their personal agendas. What bothers me greatly is that people group the bad with the good, especially in Surrey. Lots of good people trying to do what's best for the children and the game. Silently plodding along, oblivious to the antics that have come to light. It bothers me, because many have contributed voluntarily for years with little fan fare. Many have helped facilitate the development of our youth into fine adults. They aren't doing it for recognition. They aren't looking for press.

But out of the blue, a few morons enter the scene, and contaminate the whole soccer environment in Surrey, and EVERYONE gets lumped in?? I am involved with one of the clubs in Surrey. I won't say which one, but definitely not the club making the press for the wrong reasons right now. If I was, this wouldn't be happening because I would have made sure you idiots were weeded out. I'm not looking for a pat on the back, but I am DEFINITELY not looking to be grouped in with the idiots in our community. Silent majority vs the vocal minority, Society's curse!

People need to make their own assumptions and educate themselves.

I agree. There are many wonderful people volunteering in Newton. Problem is the squeeky wheels get the greese.

The silent majority needs to stand up and take control of their clubs instead of choosing to bury their heads in the sand like nothing is going on. There is a few distinct groups responsible for most of the troubles, the classic 80-20 rule and right now the 20% are in control. I have seen many good people hurt in all of this, many just leave and move on, some just choose to ignore it. I could get into detail but this isn't the forum for it.
I coached in Newton for 6 years , 4 of them with a development or so called development team - I have been a victim of these circumstances and also have benefited from them, met many people along the way - some I thought were good people and turned out to be bad and now suspended , some I didn't trust and have turned out ok. There are many different sides its hard to know what to believe.
For now the correct course of action is awareness and education of the parents which is what some including myself are using this forum for. They need to be educated that is the part of the problem, they don't know who to trust, so most default to trusting the coach, if that coach is part of the problem well...
Educate them on LTPD , club charters development programs the like. Show them what it should look like then let them make their own choice,

I think it's on the BC Soccer Discipline sight. There are some others that have received very lengthy suspensions before.

If they knew what they were doing from the start, they would have gone completely private. Not built anything around, within or remotely close to BC Soccer rules and aimed their sights on a USL franchise out of Surrey with development youth teams implemented. You don't go mixing money and collaborate with a non profit organizations like B.C. Soccer and their regulations and expect to win in the end. Your going to get your balls chopped. Just think of all that long term potential they could have done with the infrastructure they had. Hire a European TD straight from Holland who knows how to build a Sports Business. Perhaps I am making some assumptions on cash flow and bending rules with non profits but from my experience they were trying to do things For-Profit but in a Not-For-Profit world.
