    BC Coastal Soccer League

That team hasn't played a team above 7th in the division. See what happens when they play other teams near the top. Though 32 goals in 4 goals is a bit ridiculous you will find this in almost every division.

    Four District Youth Soccer 2017/18

Its unfortunate there isn't more player movement. Perhaps we just look at HP as tier 1 through 3 and bottom two and top two move up after Remembrance day or year end. Top Metro teams should be challenging the premier cup not the A cup . Perhaps once a metro team does well in that challenge...

    Four District Youth Soccer 2017/18

It is clear there is a need for 2 streams of soccer. BCSPL was created as part of the High Performance stream which included Provincial HP teams and Whitecaps academy at the top. This is the right direction , there is a room if not a need for change though. If you talk to parents, coaches...

    Private Academy Integration

I would suggest that private academies have the same politics as clubs do. I have struggled for years on where academies fit in the picture. This is very difficult because the growth of academies comes at the expense of the not for profit clubs and my fear is it will one day make them non...

    BC Coastal Soccer League

Every year there are issues with tiering, grouping etc... This year is amplified for Gold teams as the travel has increase significantly for some. I think the Gold 1 Gold 2 etc creates some confusion for some clubs as well. Those from district may not know where to place a team... Really should...

    BC Coastal Soccer League

Using U13 Div 1 from last 11 of the 15 teams not from Tricites played outside of Newton... seems playing in Newton would have been the outlier for that Division

    BC Coastal Soccer League

Yes the quality would have dropped a little in some divisions. thank good for no more tolls - that $24 almost bankrupted me :)

    BC Coastal Soccer League

Agreed. Looking at U13 div1 from last year the removal of Tri cities would have turned and 18 team league into a 13 team league . still more than enough, in fact if anything it would have created a more balanced schedule in that everyone could play once...would have saved $24 in tolls last year...

    BC Coastal Soccer League

Define geographically... has a different for someone in Squamish versus someone in Surrey. I would guess more like within your district.. Either way the theory makes since, there are more Silver and Bronze teams than Gold teams , especially with cup play being tied in.

    Surrey Tigers FC

In my opinion the intent is to ensure the district metro select program is supporting the BCSPL teams. This is all player centered, about the development and pathway of the players. Why would a Newton based club want to support these clubs who in direct competition This statement is in its self...

Vancouver YSA AGM - 2nd MSL Club?

I think this move also ,means Langley United Supporting the FV BSCPL rather than Surrey United.

Should youth soccer season move away from the winter months?

given that most of the winter some 60-80% of the grass fields are unusable ( whether closed or rotations) , in theory wouldn't there be more total fields to use in spring/ summer?

Why do we put our kids through this?

Umm, look at the window, snow on ground - probably means field closed. Check city field conditions they are updated daily. If a turf gets plowed I am sure you would know. Does your mommy still spoon feed you?

Why do we put our kids through this?

Are we ever going to finish out this season. Some teams haven't played since Dec.3rd It sure looks like we will miss next week as well as I do t see the snow melting by then and I doubt the city's are willing to plow turf fields a second time ( or at least the ones that were last time)

    Hope this is temporary. Lol

We often take for granted the tireless efforts and countless hours volunteers put forth until they step a side or pass along. Volunteering at a board is a thankless job, most can't be bothered to volunteer but are quick to attack the efforts of those that do. Hopefully the issue is resolved...

Vancouver YSA AGM - 2nd MSL Club?

I guess it all depends on what you are after or what the goal is. From a recreational perspective there is nothing unusual about what goes on in Newton. From a developmental perspective with s goal of improving soccer in Canada and developing national players almost everything at Newton is...

Vancouver YSA AGM - 2nd MSL Club?

Boundries or lack there of have nothing to do with the issues at Newton. It's a community issue and lack of educated parents on the topics. Ego, pride ,power bragging, winning are all extremely important for many within the community and to the detriment of the players. Where the clubs have...

Hi! I Am a Not For Profit Association

I would say by bias comes from my understanding of what Germany does, mixed with what I see could work for us. We do not have the infrastructure or resources to mirror these power house programs - so look at what seem reasonable and how it can be adapted here with our current infrastructure and...

    New Year Restart

in District 5 seems only the Ladner / Tsawwassen's Turfs and the few Surrey Turfs that were plowed. All of Langley, Abbotsford , Coquitlam.. Tri -cities , Maple Ridge, Mission, Wack are still listed as closed.
