Knowing the technical staff at both PoCo and CMFSC I wouldn't worry. There is sufficient communication between the two clubs that if your daughter is good enough she will get proper consideration for the BCSPL team.
If she is having fun, don't move her.
Very much so. There is so much change in your roster with players dropping out for school or work. Generally you see a lot of players moving up to fill the vacated spots so it hard to know where you stand st the beginning of the season.
We're a bit inconsistent. Some of the div 3 and 4 players that I picked up to replace departing layers sometime lack the tactical awareness needed but still I think we are a solid div2 team.
I do coach the CMFSC div 2 team so I know these rosters pretty well, although this was my first season with the age group as I was parachuted in when the previous coach decided not to return.
There are more than three new players on Apollo but only 3 were previously MSL. I believe 2 came from...
The answer as to how to get dominant D1 teams into MSL is simple in my mind. Eliminate MSL.
By that I mean eliminate it as separate entity/league. All of the top leagues need to be governed under the same umbrella. It is counter-productive to have one group running BCSPL, another running MSL...
All we are hearing from anyone here is rumour and innuendo and vague allegations that there is some kind of conspiracy against the club. It would be helpful for someone with actual knowledge to provide more details. Failing that its best that people don't post unsubstantiated allegations or...
5 district has always been reluctant to give a forfeit. I have had a case where all of the criteria for a forfeit under the rules have been met and had been told by a 5 District official that the forfeit met all the criteria only to be told the week before the last make up date that the league...
I've coached against Keith when we was with PoCo I believe. He was real touch line bully and had a young assistant referee in tears. Completely uncalled for behaviour.
Perhaps the idea of moving to an academy vs playing club soccer is not wrong but making a commitment and then abandoning that commitment with the impact that it has on others is simply wrong. This kind of decision needs to be made at before the season starts so as not to negatively impact...
Does not a transfer require the releasing club to agree (i.e. sign the transfer form?). I know that doesn't apply in this case as they are going to an academy but thought this should be clarified.
One of the biggest take-aways I get from this post is the importance of professional clubs. You highlight the number of players playing in top leagues that came from a select few professional clubs. This is what we are lacking in Canada. We need many more professional clubs developing talent...
