Knowing the technical staff at both PoCo and CMFSC I wouldn't worry. There is sufficient communication between the two clubs that if your daughter is good enough she will get proper consideration for the BCSPL team. If she is having fun, don't move her.

Very much so. There is so much change in your roster with players dropping out for school or work. Generally you see a lot of players moving up to fill the vacated spots so it hard to know where you stand st the beginning of the season.

Absolutely agree. Langley is a Div1 team and the coach knows it. The next few teams are are all evenly matched with good competition balance.

We're a bit inconsistent. Some of the div 3 and 4 players that I picked up to replace departing layers sometime lack the tactical awareness needed but still I think we are a solid div2 team.

Apollo picked up only 3 MSL players. The metro team folded as several players moved to BCSPL or decided to stop playing.

Those clubs did not sign a lot CMFSC players. Only one CMFSC DIV 1 player moved to another club and one moved down to Div 2.

The answer as to how to get dominant D1 teams into MSL is simple in my mind. Eliminate MSL. By that I mean eliminate it as separate entity/league. All of the top leagues need to be governed under the same umbrella. It is counter-productive to have one group running BCSPL, another running MSL...

Does not a transfer require the releasing club to agree (i.e. sign the transfer form?). I know that doesn't apply in this case as they are going to an academy but thought this should be clarified.

One of the biggest take-aways I get from this post is the importance of professional clubs. You highlight the number of players playing in top leagues that came from a select few professional clubs. This is what we are lacking in Canada. We need many more professional clubs developing talent...
