For the Nov 5 weekend, is what I was led to believe.

I had to use call up permit this past weekend. I had a 10:00am Saturday game, and had the permits signed at 8:00 Friday night...all depends on your district registrar.

Yeah, I know it's hard to complain when most of the away games are within 20 minutes...hahaha :D

We had the dreaded bye this week. Managed to find a friendly. Eked out a win despite trying to Keystone Cop ourselves to defeat. Gave up the first goal when our keeper smacked a clearance off the opposing striker's face into our net. Gave up the second when our right back and center back ran...

Clubs could always provide feedback. Whether or not it was accepted was another story :p This year, clubs are being asked for feedback, and asked early. That part is very nice to see.

Yeah, if @4_the_kids has the right game, then he's correct. If a team is a no-show, then it's a forfeit. Both teams would've needed to reach out to each other and agree to reschedule. At least that's the way it's worked for our teams in the early going. Everyone has been agreeable that way...

Retiering in 5-District was changed to end of October, to get a better sample size. Clubs have been asked to provide input, which seems to be a change over past years. Herv - I miss you guys in our group. You were always fun to play against. Great group of kids!

@hervb Thanks for adding the perspective..it helps. My own POV, if I was in their shoes, I would be asking to be retiered up a level. Kids can't be learning anything winning 7-0 every week.

I'd want to play the game regardless, even if it didn't count for standings....just to get another game in.

Same has happened with one of our U18 teams. Most of the time both sides are pretty agreeable about getting the game rescheduled.

They've scored 100 goals the last two years (51 & 49) and that's only in the Sept -Dec games. 17W, 3D, 3L in that time. (one of those draws was 4-4 against my group last year)

In 5-District? Makes sense. They merged Div 2 with Div 3. Looking at standings and results, the bottom Div 1 teams and the top Div 3 sides would probably make a good Div 2 division. Make Div 1 A & B, 6 teams each. Bottom 4 Div 1 with top 2 or 3 Div 3 sides...may make for better soccer.

Yeah, not sure what to make of that LUS side. They've run away with the division for the last 2 years...look well on their way to doing it again. :confused:

PMO was another strong game for us, with no finish. Tied 1-1 until late, they scored a great free kick goal - top corner from 25 yards. Scored the 3-1 goal at the last whistle as we pushed everyone up on a corner kick to try and tie it.

I think it's division by division, whether or not they don't count any games played. I can't see them discounting one group who played all their games, because some other division did not....

Thing I hate about the standings, is that results can be so skewed by the teams that you've played. WCA, who was...2nd? last year... may have been our best game, and we lost 0-5...they scored on their 5 shots. including a PK. Possession and chances were even. Your lads played well - your...

I guess wind becomes a safety issue as well. Ah well...just put weights in the pockets of the smaller kids...and dress them in something bright so they're easier to find when they float away ;):D
