how about this for joy, second year in a row we finish finish first on the east side. Random draw saw us place 2nd place team from east side in round one. This year random draw, playing 1st place team from West side. Winner likely gets 2nd place team from west side. Teams in the top half...
totally unfortunate and I sure wish we got all the games in. That being said this info was sent out and was forwarded by the club i am at. (75% of games must be played for results to count). Considering almost all fields were closed may be something to inquire within your club?
League finals are set for March 2-3rd weekend. The weekend of the 9th are reserved for District finals. The league has also posted that this date is confirmed as fields are booked.
With snow in the forecast ahead next week is also up in the air. Ideally getting all games in would be...
Re-tiering happens after Thanksgiving but I do not believe this includes mixing groups by geography. After Christmas the mix i was referring to is the league championship format of placing teams in pods of 6 based on standings not geography, hence mixing east and west.
two teams moved into metro. North Vancouver Surge and CCB Akal. Many of the weaker div 1 teams moved to division 2 so hoping you are correct on balance. Interested in how the schedule plays out after October 20th. I do like that teams will be mixed by strength after Christmas but uncertain...
Great to hear your team is off to a positive start. I coach the Langley team and there certainly is lots of change in both the east and west pools. Interested to see your team placed on the east side. It appears a few teams moved into Metro, while many moved down a division. I share your...
Thanks rich our club emailed us the draw. Would love to see seeding happen to reward regular season performance. As it stands got one of the toughest matchups possible for round 1 especially coming off of spring break. That being said to win you have to beat the best teams!
You can likely figure it out on your own as I don’t see anywhere where it’s posted. Heard the draw was delayed a week, think it’s happening in the next week. What age group and team are you ?
unreal. If this info was sent at the start of the year districts may have pushed to get their district cup games done earlier. What a mess. Feel for the teams who thought they had a chance to play in to only lost out (some by a decimal point or coin flip)
With the weather district cup games moved back 1 week to the 3-4th. Many districts wont have a champ prior to the weekend of the 9th-10th and wildcard games are supposed to be done by then? Sure will be interesting to see how they get this all done. Impossible to make a schedule until all...
This certainly isnt clear. What makes the most sense? Point to game ratio, head to head results ? Unfortunate it isnt clear as I am sure there are many teams on the bubble uncertain on how this works.
There could be 2-3 levels in division 1 alone. Div 3 definately will need several tiers to ensure kids are enjoying the game and playing with similar abilities.
Seems to be not very clear. League guide states 2 wild card spots going to highest seeds. Problem is it refers to G1 Highest seed when in fact the groups are Split by east and west.
On the coastal Cup 2018 plans it refers to 4 wild card spots for mainland teams.
If I had to guess perhaps the...
What district (region) is your team a part of?
If you go to the 4 disctrict site you can find your district website. Not all districts are showing draws or all the scores but many do.
as a follow up this is why the first attempt at splitting teams by strength versus geography was the correct approach. This team would be well suited in a G2 group.
