Youth lacrosse struggles, a poor cousin to hockey as one of Canada's official sports. Registration numbers fluctuate depending on the year and kind of trend with youth sports generally I believe.

Field LAX is pretty popular in the US with good growth in high schools & as being added to many university/college sports programs.

Growth will take more pro-level exposure like.the new PLL (men) this year with it's inaugural season in summer. The PLL partnered with the WPLL (women, a small group started year before, mostly in northeast US) & NBC Sports will be providing coverage if the PLL . Meanwhile, the NLL (ala Vancouver Warriors) has been expanding in US and will give boxla increased North American visibility.

Both field & box LAX continue to grow internationally (see FIL) and lobbying to get back in the Olympics, which will help but that's still a work in progress.

Interesting thread. My son plays field lacrosse for a Vancouver high school. Nobody watches, except a few parents / girlfriends. School website promotes basketball and football like crazy, but soccer and Lax get virtually zero coverage: no scores, etc. If even those inside the circle don’t really care, it’s going to be a tough road ahead for recognition / interest to grow. It’s quite disheartening to see these student athletes unsupported.
