Rumour Round Up

Only those who were there can know, I suppose.

I know if I had a child in a club and myself or the child's other parent couldn't vote I'd be leaving that club.

I am looking at other clubs now. At the time I didn't realize the whole scope of what was going on at ND but now that I see someone was fired and other people left and there was legal action and the president was suspended I am thinking it isn't the place I want my kids to go to learn about sportsmanship and fair play. The more I learn the more I am coming to think that it isn't about the kids. I wish I would have gone to that meeting now with my husband.

Threads tend to take on their own lives just like normal conversation. Its not perfect but I prefer to let them flow and not force them into narrow categories.

That said, I know not everyone feels that way.

I made a point of not posting anything for many weeks as members were going off topic and spoiling things. Hope Admin will have noted the lack of activity from regular posters

Rumour is that BC TIGERS takeover of PUFC did not go thru . PUFC have held their own Evaluations for the Fall season.

BC Tigers have also posted dates for evaluations . BC Soccer needs to step in cus if the takeover didn,t go thru then BC Tigers should not be misleading parents/players by holding Fall evaluations and their coach,s are also enticing players by saying they will have Metro spots for the fall in most age groups.

This is all becoming a nightmare.

Sounds like someone is angling to be a mod.

I thought PUFC had already changed its name to BCT.

I was at Coast Cups this weekend and witnessed some great youth soccer. The weather made it even better. Every district was represented. Recognized a few summer league teams that I had reffed before.

Heard that GN, Akal and Canadian Eagles do not have teams in summer league. @WTF is that true?

Not in ussl, but may still show up in the tournaments.

Ussa is non existant. Some clubs started a new league.

"A new league partnership has been formed between the following clubs; AIFC, AUSC, BC Tigers, Dasmesh United FC, Phoenix, Temple United and Van United"

Seems USSL is still alive or some variation of with the clubs mentioned above. Those clubs all still plan on holding their annual tournaments as well...

Saw Tweet from BC Tigers saying they are now holding Winter Evaluations . Anyone hear anymore on this or the attempted take over of Pacific United?

USSL is underway, minus akal and eagles.
USSA is defunct. New league underway, 1st tournament this coming weekend.

Who knows what is happening behind the scenes with both BCTFC and PUFC operating as though they will be in operation for the fall. I worry at what may be coming next.

Word is that this matter is in the hands of legal people now - where is SMSA now in enforcing the rules in Surrey Soccer . There is conflict of interest if the chair of SMSA is still involved with BC Tigers . Metro applications also have to go thru SMSA so another conflict of interest

Can you just start a separate thread rather than high-jacking every other thread with the same BC Tigers posts?

I'm not sensitive at all about the issue. I know nothing about it. You seem to be posting about it in several threads. Can't we just have one thread for this?

I don't post much ... but let me tell you guys what I know from my sources...

PUFC is no more (BC Soccer has confirmed). New club is BC Tigers FC. Bout of half of the teams that were with PUFC are now back with BCT... a couple went to Temple for summer (and will most likely play under SFC in winter). With whatever that was left PUFC has agreed to shake hands with CCB (Cdn Eagles in the summer)

As for summer tournaments... Cdn Eagles & Akal (both under CCB in winter) were not invited to the upcoming tournament, which is being hosted jointly by AIFC (Abbottsford) and Van United (Surrey). As a protest most of GN teams also did not enter this tournament (except for 1).

CCB has announced a tournament to be held in June... Eagles / Akal / GN teams will definately be there.

Regardless of the fact what few of these individuals (so called community leaders) say and do against to undermine the other clubs... I'm happy to see that kids are still getting to play soccer this summer, whether thru spring league or USSL or USSA (now defunct, but renamed to whatever else) or other summer tournaments.

Good day!
