Please fill out
the form using the link above to register for the 2008-2009 U14 Girls
Vancouver Metro team tryouts. The tryouts are open to all girls born in
1995.
Metro level is a
big step up from Gold level soccer. Players should be committed to
improving and playing/practicing on a high level youth team. There are
generally two practices and one game per week. There may be fees in
addition to registration fees to help finance the team. Please keep this
in mind when deciding to participate in the evaluations.
* Tony Corrado and
Rene Longo of I.C.S.F. have been selected as coaches by VRGSA and the
U14 Metro team will be hosted by I.C.S.F. The evaluations will be run
as a joint effort between I.C.S.F. and Pt. Grey.
* The U14 Metro
evaluations will use independent evaluators to ensure knowledgeable,
objective player evaluations.
* Final team
selection will be based on independent evaluator rankings, assessments
by the U14 Metro coaches and, in some cases, the previous season's
coach's assessment/feedback.
*Tryouts will be
held over three sessions, with a fourth, if necessary. The first two
will be open and the last will be by invite only. All players will be
notified of their invite status by email immediately following the
second session.
*Players will be
notified by telephone or email of the final result. Players are
expected to confirm/accept their spot on the team within 48 hours of
being advised of their selection. A Team Formation Meeting will be held
after the final session.
*All players
should arrive at each session 30 minutes prior to scheduled start time
*All
dates/times/locations subject to change. Players who have registered for
these tryouts will be notified using the email address provided on this
form. Please ensure there are no typos before you submit the form.
