.5 District Girls League Updates

Due to web pages being updated daily,  hold the CTRL key down and click the Refresh/Reload button on your browser tool bar to make sure you have the latest version of the web page.
Information regarding Standings and communication
a) Scores are published once per week. Usually on Sunday or Monday night
b) Initial scores or corrections to scores will not be published until the next weekend.
c) Stats collectors will accept emails or phone calls that come from Coaches or Managers of teams only. If you are not a Coach or Manager and have a question or notice an error please discuss with your Coach. There are 660 teams with an average of 16 players per team and one or more parents per player making a total of 26,000 persons who could possible have a question to ask. We are all volunteers and give an inordinate amount of time to administering the League competitions. So we ask that you help us by using the communication paths that have been established.
d) The Web Master of this site is NOT involved with the league so please do not address questions related to League information that has been posted here. 

Notice to teams reporting scores:
a) Scores are to be reported by Coach or manager on the same day games are played.
b) If for any reason your game is not played, ie: field closures, remember to let your stats collector know.

When reporting scores PLEASE include the following information. "Schedule, both team names in full with their score and scheduled date of game".
Example - U13 Gold 1, Surdel Vipers 1 Port Moody Power 1, Nov 25
This is a simple thing and it will help the stats collectors who handle multiple schedules immensely. The consequence for NOT giving enough information is that the score will not be reported. The stats collectors have been told not to spend their volunteer time trying to decipher score submissions that are not clear.

Message to all Clubs/Teams.

Mother Nature has not cooperated with us again. Most Districts have not been able to get there District Cup games played on Feb 3. The League has decided NOT to cancel the games on this weekend but will allow for games to be postponed by either team to play a District Cup game.

U13-U18 Leagues Games:
On Feb 10 Cup games will take priority over League games but the League games will remain on the schedule and become make-up games if they are postponed. Any League game played should be reported as normal.

U12 Selects League games:
IDC games originally scheduled for Jan 27 must be played by Feb 10. Any IDC game originally scheduled for Feb 10 game that is not played will move to Feb 17. 25 of the Select teams still left in IDC play 12. 25 of the 37 U12 Selects teams are still in cup play.
